This year I bought my own Christmas gift; the artbook about the Norwegian painter Thore Heramb. As Sue Prideaux writes, "Thore Heramb is a distinguished painter who has long been recognised in Norway as one of the most prominent artists of his generation. When the winter is over and we may call it Springtime outside, it is time to finalize some of the paintings I started to work on in 2006. On April 17 the new presentation of Art at the National Gallery was opened. The presentation covers "icons" from the period between 1814 and 1950. I don´t like vandalism. Deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property is not acceptable. Two of our friends, Bitte and Terje, have reorganized their cottage internally. They have moved walls and made a new kitchen floor and furnitures. After seeing the exhibition "A modern classic" at the National Gallery by Olle Bærtling at the same time I made another abstract painting, I decided to do an imitation of one of O.B.´s works. In my last blogpost I presented a proposal for a bedroom "wallpaper". As expected the bedroom owner did not want nudes at the wall. That is the daily life, and a normal situation for an unknown painter. Some likes what you do and some does not.
