Indian summer in Gothenburg

Non-Violence

Three hours away (high speed travelling) from Oslo is Sweeden´s second largest city; Gothenburg. We normally pass the town on our many trips to Copenhagen, but many years ago we visited the town with our children for the amusement park Liseberg. Last week Tullen and I had a few days, evenings and nights by ourselves. A pleasent stay with temperatures around 20 degrees in the afternoon. We used the Indian summer to perform shopping, eating warm local luncheon, drinking beer and wine, having Italian food for dinner and spend the nights in satisfying hotelbeds.

The very famous sculpture "Non-Violence" by the sweedish artist Karl Fredrik Reutersvärd is located at the Kungsportsavenyen near Gøteborg Kunstmuseum which at the moment have an exhibition of Peder Severin and Marie Krøyer´s paintings.
  • See Krøyer
  • The peace symbolic sculpture can also be seen in front of the UN building in New York as well as in many other cities around the world.
